Clean air
with energy-efficient RadiPac centrifugal fans
Filter fan units (FFUs) are powerful units consisting of a filter and a fan. They are mainly used in ceiling systems in cleanrooms, e.g., in chip factories, beverage filling or plastic injection molding plants, the pharmaceutical industry, or microstructure technology. Their task is to ensure consistently high air quality while precisely regulating temperature and humidity.
The fans are subject to correspondingly high requirements: They must ensure a high air exchange rate and generate sufficient pressure to overcome the resistance of the filters. In addition, they should be intelligently controllable, easy to network, and very quiet, as strict noise protection conditions often apply in cleanrooms.
ebm‑papst has optimized the RadiPac specifically for use in cleanrooms. It impresses in all areas with top ratings and is also extremely compact—ideal for the confined installation conditions in filter-fan-units.
The advantages of RadiPac
for cleanroom technology at a glance:
Various sizes for all standard air volumes:
580, 1,170, and 2,330 m³/h
Low installation depth of only 190 to 275 mm thanks to external rotor design
High efficiency:
6.6% improvement over conventional metal impellers
DCI function (daisy chain interface) for auto-addressing
Simple system monitoring via MODBUS-RTU interface
6–7 dB quieter than standard commercial models – thus meets strict noise protection requirements
