Since 2014, the Stifterverband has awarded this seal of approval to companies in the field of research and development, rewarding their efforts as innovation drivers. The seal, which is valid for two years, honors companies "that show a special commitment to research and development," as the association says. "The increasing demands on digitization require us to continuously bring new innovations to the market in this area, in order to further expand our technological leadership. We are therefore pleased that our high level of innovation activity has once again been honored with the seal of approval ‘Innovative through Research'," emphasizes Dr. Bruno Lindl, Group Managing Director for Research and Development of the ebm-papst Group. With its think tanks in Dortmund and Osnabrueck, ebm-papst has already further expanded its research activities in the field of digitization and the development of new business models. These "think tanks" are intended to bring new innovations to the market on an ongoing basis. Additionally, ebm-papst cooperates with numerous universities and research institutions, such as Heilbronn University of Applied Sciences or the University of Stuttgart.
