RadiPac centrifugal fans
in ventilation technology

Efficient, quiet, and intelligent centrifugal fans
for building ventilation

We spend an average of 90% of our time indoors and breathe in and out 15,000 liters of air every day. Indoor air quality is therefore a crucial factor for health, well-being, and productivity.

Ventilation technology ensures optimal air exchange and regulates temperature and humidity. RadiPac centrifugal fans can really show off their strengths here.

Thanks to their aerodynamically optimized design and EC technology, RadiPacs are ideal for modern and efficient ventilation systems. They far exceed the minimum legal requirements for energy efficiency. Even retrofitting existing systems pays for itself within a short period of time.

RadiPacs are already equipped with standard interfaces such as 0–10 V/PWM and MODBUS-RTU as standard. This allows numerous intelligent control and monitoring functions to be implemented. Incidentally, ebm-papst also supplies complete ready-to-install centrifugal fan modules, including digital solutions, intelligent controls, and services.

RadiPac has proven its mastery of the art of not only efficiently but also quietly conveying air. Because the specific installation situation is always a decisive factor, ebm-papst helps you identify disruptive noises and find suitable solutions right from the planning stage of your AHU, using state-of-the-art measurement technology.

How RadiPac centrifugal fans work in application

Central (roof-mounted) ventilation system with heat recovery

This solution is often installed in technical rooms or on the roof and offers simple and efficient integration of the ventilation system into the existing heating and domestic water treatment system.
A centrifugal fan transports the supply and exhaust air via a heat exchanger, in which the cold outside air is preheated by the warm, stale exhaust air. This ensures that the fresh air enters the rooms at a comfortable temperature.

Advantages of RadiPac centrifugal fans in this application:

  • Low energy consumption
  • Reliable and long-lasting operation
  • Digital interface for digital solutions
  • Infinitely variable for demand-based speed control
  • Maintenance-free and low-noise

Ventilation technology equipment and systems

Wherever people are present in buildings, rooms must be supplied with fresh air and, ideally, air-conditioned.
To this end, large volumes of warm and “used” air are fed through a pipe system to the AHU. A heat exchanger recovers the heat from the exhaust air and returns it to the fresh supply air, which is then treated with other components such as filters, heating and cooling coils, humidifiers and dehumidifiers, and much more. An AHU is usually installed centrally on the roof of the building, which means that the supply and exhaust air has to travel long distances.

Advantages of RadiPac centrifugal fans in this application:

  • Compact, ready-to-install plug & play fan modules
  • Centrifugal fan series with high power density
  • Versatility thanks to numerous variants in all sizes from 280 to 800
  • Modular solutions (FanGrid) for flexible scalability
  • Maintenance-free and low-noise
  • Infinitely variable for demand-based (open-loop) speed control
  • Digital interfaces and pressure taps for intelligent control
  • Additional features such as resonance detection or 3-phase active PFC
