ebm‑papst, a leading manufacturer of fans and motors headquartered in Mulfingen, Germany is pleased to announce that Thomas Schwab, has been appointed as Vice President of Digital Services and Solutions APAC & MEA, effective January 1st, 2026. In addition to this new appointment, he will continue his role as Managing Director of ebm‑papst SEA.

With more than a decade of international experience across Germany, China, and the broader APAC region, Thomas has played a pivotal role in driving the organization’s development with a strong focus on sustainability and digitalization. In his new role, he will continue advancing these priorities by supporting customers in achieving even greater energy savings beyond the capabilities of EC technology, while enhancing operational reliability and enabling a smarter, data‑driven service experience.

Building on the proven digital successes established in Southeast Asia, Thomas will lead efforts to scale these capabilities across additional regions, empowering global teams to strengthen their digital solution offerings and deliver greater value to customers. He will also strengthen the development and expand the company’s digital ecosystem, NEXAIRA, to enable faster, more reliable, and more scalable deployment of next‑generation solutions.

Looking ahead, Thomas’s new appointment as Vice President of Digital Services and Solutions APAC & MEA, will focus on strengthening customer value across the entire lifecycle of ebm‑papst solutions and reinforcing the company’s position as a global leader in digital services within the air technology sector.
