Deutschland Test awarded their seal “Most innovative German companies” to the fan manufacturer ebm‑papst. In the survey category “Supplier of electric motors & drives”, ebm‑papst came first with a score of 100/100 points, earning the title of industry champion.
Innovative strength is of vital importance for each national economy and, of course, every single business. Innovations guarantee growth and prosperity and thus jobs. But which companies have the highest level of innovative strength? For the fourth time, Deutschland Test and their partners ran a survey and collected, analyzed and evaluated millions of consumer opinions. They sorted their results by industries – allowing for a fair comparison within the same business field.
In recognition of their top placement, ebm‑papst has now been awarded the seal “Most innovative German companies”. The world market leader in fans and motors has been investing in research and development for years. Yet the focus of these investments has shifted. Nowadays, it is on digitalization, IoT, aerodynamics and aero-acoustics and product concepts and designs high in resource efficiency. “Digitalization in connection with energy-efficiency is an enormous and future-oriented field for our ebm‑papst Group, with vast opportunities we intend to seize”, says Stefan Brandl, CEO of the ebm‑papst Group. “As innovation drivers in air and drive solutions, we use IoT and Cloud technologies to develop new business models which allow our company to enjoy growth potential and which offer, even more importantly, added value to our customers.” In the current business year, ebm‑papst plans to invest more than €100 million in in research and development.
