Simple and safe

Clearly superior to conventional fans (left) with additional equipment: the GreenTech EC fan (right) – quickly installed and with all features already incorporated.

The electronics and motor form a single unit, which not only saves space but also makes for simple installation. For instance, integrated commutation and control electronics take the place of an external variable frequency drive. And, because the motor and the electronics are already perfectly coordinated in the motor system, there is no need for any additional electronic filters and shielded cables. An external motor protection switch is not required either.
To sum up: No expensive adjustment work on commissioning, and no grounding and shielding necessary. That’s how easy it is with plug & play.

The high-performance impeller is mounted directly on the rotor of the external rotor motor. This saves space and allows the entire rotating unit to be balanced in a single clamping operation.

Because it’s not only the efficiency of the individual components that matters, but rather the result of their interaction. And that is where RadiPac excels with outstanding values.

As the impeller, motor and electronics are optimally coordinated, overall efficiency levels well in excess of 60% are obtained. The GreenTech EC motor with external rotor has a major role to play in this.
It is a line-operated, permanently excited synchronous motor with electronic commutation (also known as BLDC).
Its efficiency levels far surpass the requirements of efficiency class IE4, without the use of problematic rare-earth magnets. For other internal rotor permanent magnet motors to achieve comparable efficiency they require rare-earth magnets. They are also less compact and less easy to install and commission on account of the external control electronics required.
