The Republic Act No. 11285, or the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Act, enacted in May 2019, establishes energy efficiency as a national policy and emphasizes its role in sustainable development. In this session, we’ll explore the compliance requirements for Designated Establishments (DEs) — large energy consumers identified by the Department of Energy.
Join us as we walk through the key provisions: appointing certified energy officers or managers, implementing an Energy Efficiency and Conservation Program (EECP), conducting regular energy audits, and submitting annual energy reports. We’ll also cover how these measures go beyond compliance to help organizations optimize energy use, reduce operational costs, and contribute to the Philippines’ sustainability goals and global climate commitments.
