On April 14, the Tamil New Year took place, a holiday and New Year's celebration in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu, where ebm‑papst India is located.

Our colleagues had two reasons to celebrate on this day: This festive occasion was also used to inaugurate the new office for our Software Hub in the Ascendas IT Park in Chennai. From now on, our 55 colleagues and software developers from ebm‑papst neo and ebm‑papst IT (Chennai) will work here.

Now our Software Hub is in a very good location. Located on the IT corridor of Chennai, the IT Park is a 6-acre high-tech IT park developed by Ascendas Singbridge Group. It offers around 2 million square feet of prime office space to over 45 leading IT companies employing more than 22,000 professionals.

Atul Tripathi, Managing Director of ebm‑papst India, said, "I am proud that ebm‑papst India is one of the few subsidiaries that generates its revenue from trading
(Unit 1), manufacturing (Unit 2) and services (Unit 3). The inauguration of the new office for our Unit 3 was a great and very happy moment in the current difficult times."

At the opening, Atul Tripathi also performed the traditional cutting of the opening ribbon - but of course with digital scissors, developed by our ebm‑papst neo colleagues in Chennai. A video of this can be found next to the pictures below. 

The Indian colleagues from ebm‑papst neo and ebm‑papst IT (Chennai) work under close coordination and the supervision of the Global ebm‑papst IT team in Germany (headed by Oliver Kühnle) as well as the ebm‑papst neo team in Dortmund (headed by Thomas Sauer).
