This year once again, ventilation specialist ebm‑papst welcomed numerous new apprentices and dual-study students to its German locations. With a total of 25 different apprenticeship programs and dual-study degree courses, the company offers a wide range of entry opportunities in commercial, technical, and IT-related fields.

At the start of the 2026 training year, 45 apprentices and dual-study students are beginning their careers at ebm‑papst in Mulfingen, 2 in Dortmund, 4 in Landshut, 9 in Herbolzheim, and 6 in St. Georgen. In total, 66 new apprentices and dual-study students are joining the company’s German locations. From an early stage, they take on responsibility and gain practical experience across a variety of business areas, ranging from production and assembly to commercial processes and innovative IT projects.

A particularly positive development is the expansion of the training program through the new apprenticeship location in Dortmund. For the first time, two IT specialists for application development will begin their training at ebm‑papst there on September 1, 2026. Together with the new talents from the Hohenlohe region, they will take part in the onboarding week in Mulfingen.

The “Ausbildung Plus 1” support program is also being successfully continued for the third consecutive year and has been expanded to include training for warehouse logistics assistants (m/f/d). The program is specifically designed to support young people with international backgrounds through an additional year of training and targeted language development opportunities.

For decades, apprenticeship training at ebm‑papst has stood for much more than the transfer of professional knowledge. Apprentices and students actively contribute to projects and business processes and help shape topics such as sustainability, digitalization, and corporate communications. Active participation is strongly encouraged. Examples include projects such as Jugend forscht (Youth Research), the sustainability initiative Fridays for Forest, the Media Team, participation in regional and national trade fairs, and a social internship at Josefspflege in Mulfingen. At the same time, young talents benefit from a wide range of development opportunities, international experiences, and a strong internal network.

“For many young people, the first day of their apprenticeship marks the beginning of an entirely new chapter in life. It is a moment filled with anticipation, but often also with a certain level of excitement. This is true not only for our new apprentices and dual-study students, but also for their families. That is why it is particularly important to us to provide our Future Heroes with an excellent start at ebm‑papst. From day one, we want them to feel welcome and become part of a strong community where they can grow, learn, and develop their talents. We look forward to supporting them on their journey and shaping the future of ebm‑papst together,” says Sonja Fleischer, CHRO of the ebm‑papst Group.

For the new apprentices and dual-study students in Mulfingen, the training year begins with a varied onboarding week from September 1 to September 7, 2026. The aim is to make the transition into the company easier, provide orientation, and create opportunities for networking.

The program starts with a welcome from the management team, an introduction to the trainers, and an overview of the company. During the following days, participants gain insights into topics such as occupational safety, fire protection, IT systems, and operational processes. In addition, workshops on sustainability, marketing, and health management provide valuable perspectives beyond everyday training activities.

One of the week’s highlights is once again the Highland Games in Schwäbisch Hall, where team spirit, collaboration, and shared experiences take center stage. The program is complemented by factory tours, interactive workshops, and a company rally that allows the new colleagues to get to know their future workplace in a hands-on way.

The onboarding week not only provides professional orientation but also creates space for personal exchange. This helps build a strong sense of community from the very beginning, making the start of an apprenticeship or dual-study program easier and more enjoyable.

In Herbolzheim, the highlight of the onboarding week is a company rally together with mascot Leon Green, allowing new colleagues to explore ebm‑papst in an interactive and engaging way. In addition, several team challenges focus on communication, collaboration, and mutual trust.

A team event at a climbing park offers a shared experience outside the workplace. There, the young talents can test their personal limits while strengthening their bonds as a group. This creates the foundation for a strong network and successful collaboration right from the start.

In St. Georgen, the new apprentices and dual-study students are welcomed with a diverse onboarding program. A special highlight is the team-building event on September 4, 2026. During a joint treasure hunt and hiking activity, participants from different locations get to know each other and make their first connections. The program concludes with a barbecue event that encourages personal exchange and lays the foundation for successful collaboration.

The application phase for the 2027 training year is already underway. Interested candidates can find detailed information about apprenticeship programs, dual-study opportunities, and current vacancies on the ebm‑papst careers website at career.ebmpapst.com.
