When it comes to air handling and fan wall units in data centers, the demands on airflow and power density are constantly increasing. At the same time, installation space for system architecture remains limited. This creates a need for fans that enable higher airflow rates while also integrating seamlessly into existing system designs.
New motor platform unlocks additional performance reserves
ebm‑papst is expanding the RadiPac series with the RadiPac C 630, featuring a new motor size 214 and 8 kW electronics. The newly developed EC motor significantly increases power density while maintaining the same dimensions, enabling the RadiPac C 630 to achieve an airflow rate up to 30% higher than a motor of size 150. This allows for more efficient use of the available installation space without requiring changes to existing equipment platforms. With an airflow rate of over 25,000 m³/h in free-discharge mode, the RadiPac fan is specifically suited for applications with increasing demands on airflow while maintaining a compact design.
Compact fan system for flexible integration
The RadiPac C 630, featuring a proven spider-frame design, is conceived as a complete, ready-to-install system that does not require complex floor installation. This provides additional flexibility in the design of FanGrid systems as well as for integration into AHUs, data center cooling systems along with industrial air conditioning and cooling applications.
Intelligent power electronics for EC drives
The EC motor is based on a modular concept and is equipped with high-performance control electronics. This enables common control methods such as 0–10 VDC or MODBUS-RTU, as well as the integration of additional functions such as resonance monitoring. A 3-phase active PFC is available as an option; it specifically addresses power quality requirements and ensures stable and efficient parallel operation of multiple fans.
