Accounting Administrator 

Job Title:  Accounting Administrator (Accounts Payable)
Department:  Accounting
Location: Telford, Tennessee

Summary: 
This position is responsible for compiling, classifying, recording, verifying and maintaining data and payments to Accounts Payable records.  

Essential Functions of the Job:
The essential functions of this job require the person, with or without reasonable accomodations, to perform the following:

  • Process foreign and domestic invoices for payment, which includes reviewing for mathematical accuracy, obtaining authorization to pay, proper general ledger account coding, and data entry in the accounting system. 
  • Audit invoices against purchase orders, research discrepancies, and approve for payment.
  • Request statement of accounts from vendors.  Investigate payment problems with vendors or purchasing agents. 
  • Prepare analysis and summary of accounts.
  • Monitor Accounts Payable to ensure payments are accurate and timely.
  • Issue Sales Tax Exemption Certificates (if applicable) to vendors.  
  • Assist in monthly and annual closings.
  • Use the following software programs while performing this job:  MAC-PAC, Sequel, Microsoft Excel and Word.  
  • Maintain the quality of the Accounting Department to service the ebm‑papst organization. 
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.  


Recommended Education and/or Experience:

  • Associates Degree in a related field with a minimum one-year related experience.
