Product Manager

Job Title: Product Manager
Department:  Regional Product Management 
Location: Farmington, Connecticut

Summary:
This position is responsible for regional product management on strategic and operational level along the product lifecycle.

Essential Functions of the Job:
The essential functions of this job require the person, with or without reasonable accommodations, to perform the following:

Strategic level:

  • Responsible for local product portfolio and roadmap incl. priorities and quantities (new & series products)
  • Interface to central PM for local issues and needed localizations and developments
  • Interface to sales and regional Strategic Business Fields (SBFs)
  • Interface to target costing
  • Enable Sales and Strategic Business Fields (SBFs) to build up market intelligence in Region and align needed information for new product development and localization strategy 
  • Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) process responsibility in region 

Operational level along product life cycle:

Phase-in:

  • Collection of regional product requirements.
  • Align local and global requirements with global PM.
  • Triggering and prioritization of local product development
  • Owner of local Product Steering Committee
  • Definition of target prices for local products -Gross Rating Point (GRP)
  • Definition regional sales price discount (Pricing)

In market:

  • Responsible for regional product launch strategy (marketing briefing and measures, information package, product positioning)
  • Regional product optimization and portfolio management
  • Monitoring of regional product KPI’s (cost, sales, production)
  • Support of regional sales and marketing activities

Phase-out:

  • Responsible for regional product launch strategy (marketing briefing and measures, information package, product positioning)


Recommended Education and/or Experience:

  • Master / Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university is required.
  • Preferred Degrees: Business Administration, Product Engineering, or another technical discipline.
  • 3+ years proven track record in Product Management
