ebm-papst expects a new record turnout

So far about 2,650 athletes have registered to take part. Therefore ebm-papst, co-organizer and main sponsor, expects a new record turnout.

A flat, well-secured running path, perfect organization with all around service for the participants, an outstanding price-performance ratio, and an excellent supporting program for every age group. Those are the benefits of the 13th ebm-papst Marathon on this weekend (September 6-7) in Niedernhall. So far about 2,650 athletes have registered to take part. Therefore ebm-papst, co-organizer and main sponsor, expects a new record turnout.

For the second time at the ebm-papst Marathon, the Nordic walking discipline will be offered. The Nordic walkers start already on Saturday, September 6, at 3 p.m. on a seven or twelve kilometer circuit. Registration is possible one and a half hours before the start in the Niedernhall sports hall, in which a running fair is also taking place. At 6 p.m. on this Saturday there will be a pasta party with live music on the program.

The big event begins on Sunday, September 7, at 8:30 a.m. with the starting gun for the marathon. At 9 a.m. the half marathon starts and 15 minutes later the 10k run. The handicapped athletes start the wheelchair marathon at 12 p.m.; the inline skater competition begins at 2:45 p.m.

A first-class supporting program awaits the visitors and participants in the Start-Finish area in Niedernhall beginning at 10 a.m. Registration for the running events is still possible in the sports hall until shortly before the start.
