Energy-efficient drive solution from ebm-papst at the CeMAT 2011

With "Sustainability in Intralogistics" as its main topic, the CeMAT – the world's foremost intralogistics trade fair – is starting in Hannover on 2 May 2011. This year, ebm-papst St.Georgen GmbH & Co. KG is taking part in this fair for the first time with a representative assortment of drive engineering products. At our stand in Hall 12 E84, you can see for yourself our small drive engineering with output of up to 500 watts.

The ongoing global discussion of the consequences of climate change and the availability of scarce resources shows that issues of ecology, economy and social responsibility are more important than ever to companies. Our response to these questions is anchored in our GreenTech philosophy.

For intralogistics, we see a trend towards decentralised drive solutions with energy-efficient, controllable motors. For these tasks, we have a wide range of DC motors that spans from the robust brush motor (BCI series) to the dynamic electronically commutated BLDC motor (ECI series). In external rotor motor models, the Variodrive, M3G and Variodrive Compact series offer highly compact high-performance drives with a short installation length.

The electronic control units necessary for operating BLDC motors are integrated into the motor housing in an increasing number of series or are available as external electronics. We deliver complete solutions for speed or torque-controlled drives. The CANopen bus system enables positioning of the drives.

In addition to the motors and electronics, other system components such as gearboxes, shaft encoders or brakes complete the range of products in multiple, versatile combination options. This way, depending on operating point, requirements and installation conditions, the best possible drive can always be selected for the respective drive task and the most widely different requirements of our customers for small motors are fulfilled.
