ebm-papst represented at the IAA with energy-efficient products- New power blower for more air performance

At the international IAA trade fair from 23 to 30 September 2010 in Hanover, ebm-papst is displaying its latest products for automotive and commercial vehicle applications in Hall 11, Stand C09.

The new power blower provides 20% more air performance.

The new power blower with an air performance increased by more than 20% is being presented for the first time at the IAA. The blower is mechanically and electrically compatible with the familiar double centrifugal blowers from ebm-papst's automotive product range. The enormous maximum efficiency of this product lies far above the market standard and opens up previously unimagined possibilities for customers, e.g. for the area of air-conditioning, heating and ventilation. With these powerhouses it is possible to move previously unachieved air volumes even at high counterpressures and the most compact installation space.

In view of hybrid applications of tomorrow, ebm-papst is already offering efficient solutions today. To do so, EC fans from the general product range have been developed further to meet the future requirements. Originally intended for AC voltages of 350 to 400 V, the fans work reliably at DC voltages up to 750 V and supply various cooling circuits, such as those for a diesel engine or electronic components, with cooling air. The brushless EC motors and fans can be directly connected to the existing DC-link voltage of hybrid busses, for example. ebm-papst also offers compact and reliable solutions for cooling temperature-sensitive lithium-ion batteries in hybrid and electric vehicles.

A trend is emerging towards blowers that have a highly efficient motor and aerodynamic design and demonstrate increased noise reduction. Here, ebm papst is best prepared with corresponding expertise in the areas of motor technology, electronics and aerodynamics.

In addition to these points, customers are placing ever more value on usability in rough ambient conditions and on a significantly longer service life. The brushless axial compact fans from ebm-papst are certified by the German Association of Electrical, Electronic & Information Technologies in accordance with the type of protection IP6k9k. Precisely for that reason, they are preferred by leading bus and climate control system manufacturers due to their high reliability, even for use in countries with extreme temperature conditions such as the Gulf states.
