7th ebm-papst Indoor Championships, 10th and 11th January 2009, with young stars from the Bundesliga and from the best amateur teams in the region

Mulfingen - Exciting games with the Bundesliga stars of tomorrow and a top-class entertainment program await some 2000 spectators on the 10th and 11th January at the 7th ebm-papst Indoor Championships in the Gerhard-Sturm-Halle in Mulfingen, Germany.

The number of participants alone shows that this event will be a big tournament. On Saturday, 10th January at 8.30 a.m., hosts expect the following clubs, who play in the A-Juniors Bundesliga: Eintracht Frankfurt, Karlsruher SC, Hansa Rostock, Werder Bremen, Mainz 05, Alemannia Aachen, SC Freiburg, Borussia Mönchengladbach, Eintracht Braunschweig and Rot-Weiß Ahlen.
They will meet up with the two best junior teams in the region: The A-Juniors of FV Lauda, who somewhat unexpectedly prevailed at the JAKO-Cup in Niederstetten, and the winners of the youth tournament in the Gerhard-Sturm-Halle, the Sportfreunde Schwäbisch Hall.

At the indoor tournament for the top amateur teams in the region, the following teams will compete on Sunday, 11th January, starting at 9:00 a.m.:
TSV Crailsheim, FV Lauda, FSV Hollenbach, VfR Gommersdorf, FC Heilbronn, Sportfreunde Schwäbisch Hall, TURA Untermünkheim, FV Künzelsau, SC Michelbach/Wald, SV Mulfingen, and TSG Bretzfeld, a rising team in the national league that will be participating in this tournament for the first time. This is also true of SG Sindringen Ernsbach, a team that has fought its way through the B2 Kreisliga (8th tier German football league) in the Hohenlohe Bezirksliga, and took 2nd place there. This is the first time ever that the organisers invited twelve teams to the tournament. Ten had been the number of invites for a number of years.

In addition to fast-paced games, the spectators will be offered a great entertainment program on both days. Only a few standing-room-only tickets remain available at the door for the ebm-papst Indoor Championships with the Junior Bundesliga teams on Saturday, 10th January. Tickets are available at the door at the Gerhard-Sturm-Halle for the tournament of the best amateur teams in the region, which will take place on Sunday, 11th January.
