The children of our staff were again invited to take part in our Christmas Card Competition, drawing or painting whatever they associated with the Christmas season. The winning entry has been turned into the cover of the official ebm-papst Christmas Card. The whole project was organized and run by our ebm-papst trainees.

» Recipe for delicious ebm-papst cookies «
150g wheat flour
1 msp. baking powder
1 pack. vanilla sugar
100g soft butter or margarine
4 tsp water
Preheat oven: top/bottom heat 180 °C
Mix flour with baking powder in a mixing bowl. Add remaining ingredients and mix well. Then form the dough into a ball. Roll out the dough about ½ cm thick on a floured work surface, any motifs can be left out. Put the motifs on a baking tray covered with baking paper and bake on the middle shelf for 12 minutes.
Remove the cookies from the baking paper and let them cool down.
Mix the powdered sugar with water little by little until a glaze is formed. Brush the cookies with the icing and decorate with sugar pearls.

3/4 liter dry red wine
2 sticks of cinnamon
100ml Amaretto, orange liqueur or plum wine
Pour the wine into a pot. Wash lemon and oranges hot and dry. Cut the peel off the lemon and ½ orange as thin as possible in a spiral and add it to the wine. Squeeze the oranges, add the juice, sugar, cinnamon and cloves to the wine. Bring everything slowly to the boil over a low heat. As soon as small foam islands form on the surface, cover the mulled wine and simmer gently for about 15 minutes.
Then add the alcohol and let it simmer for 2-3 minutes on the switched off but still hot hot plate, covered.
Pour the mulled wine through a sieve into a cup and enjoy hot.

150 ml cherry juice
1 tsp gingerbread spice
1 tablespoon honey
Juice of an orange
juice of half a lemon
1 tablespoon candied fruit (mixed)
Heat the cherry juice with gingerbread spice and honey. Add the juice of the orange and lemon and season to taste.
Refine with the candied fruits and let it stand for about 10 minutes. Serve hot and enjoy!
