Fans with nano effect

Complex surface structure reduces dirt effectively

Though the cause of the nano effect is invisible without an electron microscope,, anyone can see it in action: water rolls off from the leaves of the lotus flower in droplets, picking up dust and dirt particles along the way. When applied to industrial applications, this effect is achieved by complex surface treatment on a nanoscopic scale, ensuring that particles can no longer adhere to the surface.

In fans that are subjected to increased ambient stress, such as dust, textile particles etc., using nano surfaces reduces the contamination significantly. The technology, which does not cause any visible change of the surface, thus not only provides the advantage of longer cleaning intervals, but even more importantly, enables more constant air performance curves.

With nanocoated fans, ebm-papst closes a demand gap for manufacturers that already use this technology in other components of their applications. In addition, we develop continuing solutions proactively or in co-operation with our customers. Currently, centrifugal fans in various sizes (R2E146, R2E175, R2E220, R2E280) are available with nanocoating. If necessary, the technology can be transferred to all other fan types as well.
