ebm-papst acquires naming rights for the stadium
ebm-papst St. Georgen GmbH & Co. KG, a subsidiary of the ebm-papst Group, has acquired the naming rights for the fooball stadium in the municipality of Villingen. As of now, Friedengrund Stadium is now called "ebm-papst Stadium".
The agreement with the City of Villingen-Schwenningen as owner of the property applies for an initial period of ten years. ebm-papst St. Georgen will pay an annual premium for the naming rights, the amount of which was agreed to be kept confidential. Not least, structural improvements will be made to ebm-papst Stadium as a result of this sale of naming rights. They will bestow substantial added value for the visitors and users alike.
The commitment of ebm-papst St. Georgen GmbH & Co. KG fits seamlessly into the sponsorship commitment of the company as a whole. Sports, social and cultural activities – always with a regional tie – are supported in a variety of ways.
"With nearly 1,000 employees at the location in the mountain city alone, ebm-papst St. Georgen considers itself a regional company," emphasises Dirk Schallock, spokesperson for the Managing Directors; "of course, a large number of employees come from the regional centre, Villingen-Schwenningen, and the surrounding communities." In addition to its commitment as a sponsor, ebm-papst is currently developing a holistic concept in its health management system. This will also provide direct support to employees engaging in sporting activities, motivate them to make a greater commitment to sport and strengthen their health consciousness.
