On 17 January 2012, the representatives of the group of Climate-Protection Companies, among them Hans-Jochen Beilke, Chairman of the Board of Managing Directors of the ebm-papst Group, met Dr. Philipp Rösler, German Federal Minister of Economics and Technology, and Prof. Hans Heinrich Driftmann, President of the German Chamber of Industry and Commerce (DIHK), at the "Haus der Deutschen Wirtschaft" in Berlin.

A touch of Hollywood settled over the ebm-papst factory on Industriestrasse. A camera team on a special two-tyred car whirred around between the high-tech machines in order to observe the energy scouts doing their important work.

Filter fans are a combination of fan and dust filter. They are well-suited for economically dissipating heat loads from control cabinets or electronics enclosures. The motor and fan specialist ebm-papst is interpreting the current motto of the eCarTec – join the eMobility Revolution – with a new water pump, which will be presented during the trade fair from 18 to 20 October: Efficiency in a 20-watt format, for example for battery cooling in hybrid vehicles, return cooling as part of start/stop systems, low temperatures in the exhaust gas recirculation and in the gearbox.

Minister of the Environment Franz Untersteller presented the Baden-Württemberg Environmental Technology Award in Stuttgart for particularly excellent environmental technology products.

Modern gas condensing technology allows the fuel input, principally gas, to be used extremely efficiently. In the discipline of Technology the jurors awarded three teams as regional winners, in the discipline of Work Environment two: "I am confident that there will also be a state winner among them."

With 69 registrations, the 13th regional "Youth research" competition organised by ebm-papst from 24 to 26 February at the Reinhold-Würth-Hochschule in Künzelsau will again be one of the largest in Baden-Württemberg.
