The RadiPac centrifugal fans from ebm-papst have received a "Special Mention" in the "Energy" category at the 2017 German Design Awards. The jury uses this award to honor products whose design contains especially successful aspects or solutions. In the case of RadiPac, it is the significant improvement of efficiency, power and weight.

Cube design with airfoil blades
Having established itself in the market, the RadiPac series of centrifugal fans from ebm-papst is adding new members. Thanks to aerodynamic improvements, all of the fans in the series work with a wide optimum efficiency range and also feature other practical characteristics. One new feature is their mechanical design, which features a cubic structure.

Compact gas blower as first representative of a new platform
Thermal insulation and recovery lower the amount of energy required to heat buildings. At the same time, the demands on warm water comfort and with them, the required power, are constantly rising. Therefore, heating concepts that flexibly adapt to the relevant building type and the way it is used are in demand. With the VG 100 premix blower, gas blower specialist ebm-papst Landshut has now launched the first representative of a new condensing blower generation.

Interface of the future
Two fans per running meter are normally installed in supermarket refrigerated display cases, which are in operation almost 24 hours a day. The rugged and compact energy-saving fans from ebm-papst with their high-efficiency GreenTech EC motors are ideal for this application. Now they feature a MODBUS RTU interface for remote monitoring, control and regulation.

Dirk Schallock (50) will be leaving ebm-papst St. Georgen at his own request on 28 February 2017. Since 2009, Mr. Schallock was in charge of the company belonging to the ebm-papst Group which has its headquarters in Mulfingen.

Fans for Oil-cooled High-power transformers
Large high-power transformers are cooled with fans in addition to oil. This avoids damage from overheating despite cooling surfaces that are as compact as possible. ebm-papst has developed special fans for this application that satisfy rigorous requirements for service life and salt spray resistance. And thanks to EC technology, "hot spots" on the heat exchanger can be prevented.

ISH in Frankfurt is the world’s leading trade show for innovative bath design and energy-efficient heating and air conditioning. This year it is being held from March 14-18. In hall 11.0 at booth B90, motor and fan specialist ebm-papst is showing its latest energy-saving fans for air conditioning and condensing technology.

Whether in the kitchen, garden, workshop or office – the winners of the 2017 pro-K Award reflect plastic’s broad spectrum of applications. ebm-papst received an award for its AxiCool series – axial fans for evaporators and refrigerators – in the “Electrical equipment” category during the ceremony in Frankfurt on January 12, 2017. Over 100 submissions qualified for the competition.
