Diploma thesis, Bachelor's or Master's thesis in the area of "Production/electrical engineering"

Topic: System for series testing of electrical circuits for line-fed direct current motors under more stringent operating conditions.

For immediate placement, we are looking for a committed student who is interested in production/electrical engineering to work on systems for series testing of electronic circuits for line-powered direct current motors under more stringent operating conditions.

The reliability of electronic circuits in drive engineering is the determining factor for the service life of the products. Weak components, which often are proportionately very rare and frequently only sporadic, must be identified and sorted out. For this purpose, systems are used that employ stress factors that are below the damage threshold of good parts to identify defective components.

The goal of this diploma thesis is to develop the following for one of these systems:

  • Designing the test system
  • Defining the test sequence and measuring the stress and load factors
  • Carrying out confirmation trials to verify the damage-free condition of test specimens that have passed the test as good parts
  • Carrying out confirmation trials by deriving and reconstructing known fault scenarios to verify the identifiability of faulty parts
  • Establishing the relationship to field experience and observation
  • Using and optimizing existing software for evaluating results and monitoring the test runs
  • Carrying out literature or Internet research
  • Considering environmental technology or resource conservation considerations
