"Bring a fresh breeze to science!" - "Youth research" competition begins 46th round
Youth research has begun a new round of competition and is seeking young talent in the natural sciences, mathematics and technology.

"Youth research" poster 2011With the slogan of "Bring a fresh breeze to science!", young researchers have until 30th November to apply for participation in Germany's best-known youth competition. For the twelfth time now, the host of Heilbronn-Franconia regional competition is fan specialist ebm-papst.
It is not necessary to be an Einstein-like genius to take part in "Youth research." However, it is important for the young researchers to be curious and creative and to accept the challenge. The research topic for Youth research can be chosen freely, as there are no predetermined projects.
"The only essential rule," notes Bernd Ludwig, sponsor of the regional "Youth research" competition at ebm-papst, "is for the topic to relate to the subjects of work environment, biology, chemistry, earth and space sciences, mathematics/computer science, physics or technology."
A short description of the project is sufficient for application. A written draft does not need to be submitted until January of 2011.
"Individuals as well as groups with up to three participants can participate; participants must attend at least the fourth grade in the year of registration but not be older than 21," explained Ludwig.
The best participants will again win prizes (money, goods and special prizes) with a total value of some 1 million EUR.
