ebm-papst Landshut is the selected 'landmark' in the Land of Ideas 2010
ebm-papst, the leading global manufacturer of fans and motors, is once again among the prize-winners of Germany's nation-wide competition "365 Landmarks in the Land of Ideas" for 2010.

The "LambdaConstant" system, which is used to control an optimum and environmentally sound combustion process in modern gas heaters and was developed at the company's location in Landshut, Germany, convinced the jury.
Due to the deregulation of the gas market, utility companies are required to pipe gases from various manufacturers through their networks. As Stefan Brandl, Managing Director of the Bavaria-based subsidiary, relates, "Most of all, the consumers benefit from this procedure."
"However, there are disadvantages such as undesirable noise, increased pollution or reduced heat output during the burning process resulting from the different gas qualities," explains Brandl.
With the development of LambdaConstant, ebm-papst has created a microprocessor-controlled system that ensures a constant gas/air mixture at all times and thus an optimally controlled burning process for modern gas heaters.
The official awards ceremony is scheduled for 11 May 2010 on the ebm-papst Landshut location's campus. In addition to the presentation of the LambdaConstant system, the fan specialist will hold an open house for college or university students with a concentration in a technical field to illustrate the innovative strength of the ebm-papst group.
