Compact fan with high power and internal service life self-diagnosis

Fan calculates ageing based on usage conditions

The service life calculation performed for fans today on the basis of measured values makes it possible to form a prognosis on the ageing of each individual fan in terms of its respective usage condition and environment. It is ideal for ensuring that the actual load to which the fan is subjected at its usage location is taken into account in the calculation. In light of this, ebm-papst developed the FanCheck fans with integrated electronics that constantly recalculate the remaining service life.

ebm-papst starts factory expansion

Groundbreaking in Mulfingen-Hollenbach: The ebm-papst Group has begun the expansion of its production facility. The world market leader for fans and motors is investing around 15 million euros in the project, intensifying its production of large energy-saving fans for the European market. Besides expanding the production facility by around 10,000 m², the plans also call for building a computing centre.

More fans, fewer problems

Ten small fans instead of one big one: That’s the secret behind ebm-papst’s first fan array project in India, which is helping a shopping centre save over 20 percent on energy for the air conditioning in its food court.

Energy scouts for all!

The concept invented by ebm-papst has spread to other regions. The prize-winning project has also received positive acclaim beyond the bounds of ebm-papst. "The idea is so good that it deserves to be more widely known," says Stefan Gölz from the management of the Heilbronn Franken Chamber of Commerce.
